JESUS CHRIST-THE HOPE, PEACE AND JOY OF THE WORLD BY HIS GRACE BABA ALADURA PROPHET (DR.) EMMANUEL ABIODUN ALOGBO JP, FNACM. SPIRITUAL FATHER AND CHAIRMAN CHERUBIM AND SERAPHIM MOVEMENT CHURCH WORLDWIDE AYO NI O
“She shall bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
Season’s Greetings to you all in the Mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the reason for this Season. He is God’s gift to us. Jesus Christ the Savior came to redeem us all from our sins, and reconciled us to God, the Father, thereby granting us the rights of sonship and adoption into his Holiness.
This period is not just a routine celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, as the savior of the world, through whom we have access to eternal fellowship with God Almighty in His Kingdom in the life to come, but a period to share with one another the Good Tidings of the great joy, hope, peace and salvation that he has brought to us as God’s people. His rebirth reminds us of the ageless truth and eternal hope, peace, joy, and prosperity that abounds for all men who believe in him, nonetheless, the present ugly manifestations going on around the world and our nation – Nigeria.
Without being immodest, we are living in a world where there seems to be hopelessness, despair, and endemic socio-political and economic decline. Quite a few that the world is facing include wars and its devastating residues, terrorism, global warming, climate change, food insecurity, leaving us gasping for hope, peace, joy and salvation.
Nigeria, as a nation, is looped in around these existential threats, with no thanks to the current exacerbating increased rate of poverty and high cost of living.
This period, then, reminds us of God’s love and compassion towards us by giving us Jesus Christ, to redeem us to God the Father and heal the world. His birth demonstrated God’s plan and thought towards us as a people; as a nation; and the world at large. His birth has brought us joy of our eternal hope and everlasting glory in this world and the world to come.
So, at this Christmas, may I ask that we all should rejoice exceedingly and help promote and spread the good tidings of Jesus Christ by show of love, community togetherness and peaceful coexistence among our neighbors. The gift of God to us through Jesus Christ should remind us that we need to give ourselves to one another, help one another, and look out for one another. We can also reveal and share the joy of this Christmas by reaching out to the poor, vulnerable and the needy around us.
Equally, I also earnestly charge our governments at all levels, community leaders, and captains of industries to be more sensitive to the plights of our citizens across board. To demonstrate the love and gift of God that we found in Christ Jesus, the government must be truthful to our dear nation and the citizens and embark on national strategic plans that would ensure infrastructural, industrial and agricultural development which in turn will translate into full blown economic prosperity.
Above all, I pray that this Christmas will yield good tidings and bring comfort and peace to every home in this country. I pray that the manifestation of the glorious joy and blessings that abounds in His Birth permeate our country and every aspect of our lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Advance God Bless our country, Nigeria.
