His journey of service began in Nigeria and has continued across generations and continents, marked by faithfulness, discipline, humility and an unwavering commitment to God's work.
Dedicated to God's Work
Early Christian Service
In 1956, he became a member of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).
In 1962, he served as a Bible Knowledge teacher at a Secondary Modern School.
In 1967, he became an Evangelistic Minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria.
He relocated to the United States of America in 1972.
Cherubim & Seraphim Ministry
After settling in the United States, he co-started and became the Founder of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church in the Bronx, United States.
From 1978 to 1982, he served as Assistant Pastor.
From 1982 to 1997, he served as Leader-in-Charge and Senior Pastor of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, New York No. 1.
In 1985, he became Chairman of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, USA Sub Conference.
Since 2001, he has served as Chairman of the Cherubim & Seraphim Council of Churches in the USA.
Spiritual Elevation
1986: Ordained Apostle of God.
1988: Elevated to Senior Apostle.
1993: Received a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church College of Divinity, Lagos, Nigeria.
1996: Ordained Most Senior Apostle.
2001: Elevated to Special Apostle.
2010: Awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree by El-Beth-El Bible College and Theological Seminary, Lagos, Nigeria.
2020: Ordained Most Senior Special Apostle.
Education
He completed his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1956.
He obtained his West African School Certificate from Victory College, Ikare, in 1961.
He attended the School of Nursing in Ife and became a Registered Nurse in 1970.
In the United States, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York.
He subsequently obtained a Master of Public Administration degree in Health Care Management from Long Island University.

Jewish Home and Hospital
From 1972 to 1990, Dr. Kassim worked at the Jewish Home and Hospital in the Bronx. He began his career as a nurse and rose to the position of supervisor.
Bronx-Lebanon Hospital
From 1990 to 1995, he served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.
Brookdale University Hospital
In 1995, he joined Brookdale University Hospital as a Nurse Manager and was later promoted to Associate Director of Nursing.
Retirement
After many years of dedicated professional service, Dr. Kassim retired from active healthcare administration in December 2010.

Beyond his ministerial and professional achievements, Dr. Kassim is a devoted family man. He has enjoyed a happy and blessed marriage for more than fifty years. He is the proud father of three children and a loving grandfather to several grandchildren.
