Mount Horeb 2025: A Spirit-Filled Gathering of the Faithful in Galilee

Wednesday, 7th May 2025 — Thousands of faithful from across the globe gathered at the sacred Mount Horeb in Galilee for a spiritually uplifting service filled with prayer, worship, and solemn reflection.

The ascension was led by the Conference Supervising Prophet, Special Apostle Prophet Joel Olayinka Adeniran, who recited Psalm 24 as he ascended the mountain. He was joined by His Grace, the Spiritual Father and Baba Aladura, Prophet Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale Alogbo JP, FNACM; members of the Board of Trustees; the Church Management Committee; and District Chairmen. The sacred atmosphere was further elevated as the entire congregation joined in reverence and praise.

His Grace, the Spiritual Father, in his opening speech delivered on his behalf by the Conference Secretary General, Senior Special Apostle Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye JP, MNIM, D.Div. (Hons), emphasized the themes of unity, spiritual discipline, and purpose. He charged all prophets to serve God sincerely, declaring:

“Not as lovers of pleasure, but as vessels of honesty and spiritual discipline.”

He further called upon all members to support the ongoing development of Galilee Land and the Church at large. His Grace highlighted three key messages in his address:

Sincere service by prophets and prophetesses

Righteousness as a path to lasting change

Collective responsibility to advance God’s work

He expressed deep appreciation to all arms of the Church and reaffirmed his commitment to building upon the legacy of the late Spiritual Father. With great spiritual authority, he declared the 2025 Mount Horeb Ascension open in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

In his goodwill message, the Conference Supervising Evangelist, Special Apostle Evangelist Amos Ajayi, expressed heartfelt gratitude for being part of this year’s divine gathering. He congratulated His Grace on his one-year anniversary as Spiritual Father, praying for continued strength, wisdom, and divine guidance:

“I pray that God will continue to protect, guide, and endow you with the strength and wisdom to lead the Church to greater heights, in Jesus’ name.”

He also congratulated the Conference Supervising Prophet, Special Apostle Prophet Joel Adeniran, on his one-year anniversary in office, celebrating his dedication and the spiritual transformation his leadership brings.

Evangelist Ajayi gave a solemn charge to all attendees:

“The only reason for your presence here this year should be for spiritual renewal — to receive divine power and to be equipped for the task ahead. Anything short of that is a waste of time and resources.”

He urged everyone to reflect on the Church’s glorious past, identify where things went wrong, and commit to genuine restoration. His closing prayers included:

That His Grace be granted good health, divine strength, and wisdom.

That the Conference Supervising Prophet’s tenure yields lasting spiritual impact.

That every attendee’s heart’s desires be fulfilled before leaving the mountain.

The sermon was delivered by His Eminence, Baba Aladura Israel Akinadewo, who called on all Christians to stand up for God and to keep hope alive:

“As long as there is life, there is hope — and that hope can only be found in Christ Jesus.”

He congratulated His Grace on his first anniversary in office, praying for divine health, long life, and for the Church to continue to progress, declaring that:

“The gate of hell shall not prevail.”
